Meet the Chef
Tanisha Tucker was born in Jamaica, West Indies and relocated to New York in 1988 as a high-school student. She attended Johnson & Wales Charleston on a full scholarship, earning an AS in Culinary Arts, and a BS in Business Management. While a student in Charleston, SC, she spent time in several top rated kitchens, fueling her passion for the arts, which allowed her to travel throughout the US. Chef Tucker has left her culinary mark in many places like New York City, Miami, Rhode Island, California and Atlanta.
Early in Chef Tucker's career, she worked in Washington DC, where she helped to prepare the inaugural dinner for President George W. Bush. She has worked for great companies like Marriott, Disney, Georgia Freight Depot, Compass Group, Cox Communications, and BMW. She worked private events for many noted CEOs and celebrities such as Michelle Obama, Jill Scott, Shirley Franklin and Sonny Perdue.
Chef Tucker is currently focusing on her catering company, TNT Catering and Events, and offers professional consulting.
